Registered 501(c)(3) organizations, and fiscally sponsored projects, with annual budgets between roughly $150,000 and $3 million that rely on one to three funders and want to widen the base. It is most useful for organizations in food and agriculture, youth and education, housing and economic mobility, health, civic work and the arts, where the 990 record of peer giving is deep enough to benchmark.
It is not for organizations under $100,000 without a filed Form 990 or 990-EZ, or for organizations seeking government contracts, which do not appear in foundation filings.
